Poll: What is the Best Musical Theater Love Song?

Love of Music - red rose

With Valentine’s Day approaching, I want to know your favorite love songs from musical theater. Do you go for the classics, like “Some Enchanted Evening” from South Pacific, something a bit more wistful like “Send in the Clowns” from A Little Night Music or a more silly tune like, “Baptize Me” from The Book of Mormon?

Leave your comments on the site and let me know what you think!

  1. Kevin Laibson says:

One Hand, One Heart. Simple and elegant, like a good engagement ring.

  2. Bekah G says:

One of my favorites has to be “I’ll Cover You” from Rent.

  3. Lady T says:

    “If I Loved You,” Carousel
    “Younger than Springtime,” South Pacific

  4. Jan Christensen says:

A tossup between two different approaches: “Maria” from West Side Story, and “There Is Nothing Like a Dame” from South Pacific.

  5. Preston Smith says:

Maria: “Say it loud and there’s music playing,
Say it soft and it’s almost like praying”. Now that’s lyrics!
